Top 10 Most Played

According to Traktors “Play Count” column these are the top 10 songs that I listen to and or mix with. I dont exactly agree with this list. In my opinion this represents an older smaller library of music with limited selection, thus the high play counts (not shown) for these songs.

Currently my collection of music has doubled or even tripled in size of when I feel this list represents.

Review: Jake Childs: Blowin Up My Phone (Bon J Remix)

Comment: It starts off with a deep medium beat and a whisper male vocal sayings ‘ah yea, real good’ over and over again until the bass kicks in at 0:30 then the vocals stop. The bassline is a simple synth-electro line. Its not too hard and not too soft. Its got distorted guitar like qualities to it. At 1:00 the male vocals start, these are actual lyrical vocals not just hooks. The lyrics contain explict words so if you dont like that kind of thing, then this tracks not for you. Although there is a pretty catchy hook section. The ‘ah yea’ voice comes and goes through out the track at various points. There is no real lead synth till we get to 3:20 when we get a whine-line synth till the break at 3:48. Over all the track is minimal with a good beat and bass and catchy hooks.
