| Whats Going on Here? | This is is not a “news” site, your not going to find the latest tour news or tour date of your favorite, or my favorite artist. Theres not going to be any reposting of lame entertainment news or gossip, unless its absolutely essential. Im going to do my best to not go off topic of electronic music and rant or rave about politics or the world (Ive got another blog for that).
What weve got going on around here is just my personal playground to post random mumblings about some of the music I listen to and buy. Ive always liked electronic music, Ive had turntables since I was about 15 (I got a job at a vitamin factory and only worked their long enough to save up enough money to buy my first set of turntables). Recently I discovered the computer revolution has come to DJing and made it much much easier. Using the wonderful program Traktor by Native Instruments you dont have to spend all your time beat-matching and mixing, you can actually spend time making careful music selection instead. The “sync” button method of beat-matching is just about the greatest thing ever (I know you mixing purist will hate me for saying that, but get with the times folks). You just click the button a few times and its auto-beat-mached for you! BAM! Your mixing! Its just great. |
